Light and roomy granny flat for rent, the space is four good sized rooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, all fully furnished. The room is open and spacious, light and airy, and is very cool in summer and warm in winter, it is huge and clean and very private, it is fully self contained, with gas cooking, and has a big bathtub, and a shower if needed, and a working fridge, the room is downstairs and looks out to fruit trees, we have healthy happy, well fed chickens, and extensive organic gardens, on two acres, and just a short two minute walk to town. The room is ten metres by eight metres its a big space, and it is adjoined by a thirty by thirty metre fenced dog yard, fence is two metres tall. The house is at the end of a road and so no traffic noise, just the endless sound of birds, and this room would well suit a person who wanted their own little vegetable garden.
We are looking for a quiet, stable, and responsible student or artist, or a working person, who wants to settle in long term and make this their home, could suit single, or part time parent, as there is an adjoining unused room directly next to the unit, or an artist / sculptor who needs studio space, we are a pet friendly house so if you have a cat or dog, or a duck or a turtle and want to share your room with it, that would be fine.
We are a household who have been together for a long time now, we are all happy and non stressed, and we all live as a community, and take good care of each other. My name is Shawn I a late fifties, an artist and sculptor, I own the house and I have been here for twenty years now. Also living here is a 25 year old, he has lived here for seven years, and a 25 year old artist/ TAFE student. Upstairs we share three big healthy meals a together on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights if you wanted you would be welcome to join us,... ( this is more for a younger person, or someone who does not want to cook too much ), we can negotiate whatever you need, ... I am happy to assist someone with dinners if you do not wish to cook.
We are a drugs free house, please no cigarettes and no drugs, we have had good success in the past with people on the aspergers spectrum, its a good space for people who need a lot of privacy and quiet and we are a VERY low visitors house. We usually do something social about once a week, whether its a trip to the local waterfall for a swim, or maybe a BBQ or some viking style knife throwing and swordfighting or night cricket.
So that's it, ... Your rent, ... $150 per week, covers the big four rooms, and pays for unlimited internet, netflix, water, and electricity, there are no other expenses, and we have a small pool, so its a good deal, however, ... Please don't move in if you can't be reliable and pay the rent, I take very good care of my tenants, they are happy, safe, and secure here, but for the house to work, we need to only move in stable and reliable people. I am almost always home, and I have a reliable car and am happy to help with lifts to TAFE or Woollies or uni or doctor etc. I work as a youth worker, and university tutor, and sometimes as a lawyer, I have four degrees and so am happy to help students get set up with their studies.
