Description
We are looking for a student who loves animals. We have a cat and a black dog who are part of our family. They live both inside and outside the house.
We live in a friendly and safe street in Tugun that is 3 km from the university. We have good, regular bus services walking distance, shops, coffee shops, small supermarkets, fresh fruit and vegetables market, chemist, doctors, various restaurants, macdonalds and hungry jacks. Very are close to John Flynn hospital, Tweed Heads hospital and the Gold Coast Airport.
We are an easy 5 minute walk to beautiful beaches and surf life savers and fantastic walking and cycling tracks.
I am a retired teacher and my husband works away every 2nd week so the house is quiet.
Downstairs we have a separate flat.
The house was renovated about 7 years ago, painted throughout, new kitchen, bathroom, deck, fans, air conditioners in every room and polished floors in living areas.
The Bedroom is a cool, light room with a fan, air conditioner, desk and queen sized bed.
We expect all public areas that we share to be kept clean, the kitchen benches and stove wiped clean and bathroom wiped down. We prefer that people don’t cook in a lot of fat. We have an air fryer that can be used instead.
We respect your privacy and do not enter your bedroom. You will need to vacuum the floor and wash your own bedding.
We are water wise and we ask showers be kept to a short time.
We are a quiet friendly middle aged couple who enjoy walking, reading, tv, holidays in our caravan and socialising. We have hosted several students from SCU over the last 5/6 years and enjoyed their company.
Short stay students such as nursing practicals are welcome.
